With 69% of UK homes now with access to full-fibre broadband (Ofcom, Jan 2024), attention is turning to the challenges connecting remaining, more remote areas. This important event examines the technical, logistical, economical and regulatory pressure points as our industry prepares to connect the more inaccessible communities, learning from experts from across the supply chain.

SCTE Presents: TV to IP - The Capacity Challenge Conference Day

The business of broadband

Wednesday 8th October 2025.

Held at The Institute to Civil Engineers at One Great George Street, London SW1 on the 8th October 2025

Forthcoming changes to broadcast TV distribution in the UK will have a significant impact on all ISPs - altnets and incumbents alike. Peaks in traffic associated with mass-appeal live events are already with us, and when DTT and DSAT are switched off, all that traffic is headed to broadband. How the industry intends to manage this shift and much more was discussed in detail.

Sponsored by Nokia and Broadpeak, this full day conference featured industry speakers, presentations, Q&A sessions with open discussion segments and networking.  Our presenters included esteemed colleagues from Ampere Analysis, BBC Research & Development, Broadpeak, BT Group, Digital TV Group, Fairmile West, Google, GreySky Consulting, Kagan Research/S&P Global, Nokia and Sky. A presentation was also given by the Platinum sponsors Nokia.  Attended by approximately 100 delegates representing over 70 different companies this was the biggest SCTE presents conference of the year.

A detailed editorial feature along side industry interviews will be included in the next edition of Broadband Journal. If you would like to add to the discussion or advertise in this issue this please contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots.
