Awards and Bursaries

 

Travel free with the SCTE

The SCTE® regularly awards bursaries to those who might benefit from attending specific trade shows or conferences in the broadband industry. It currently offers three/four IBC Bursaries annually (covering travel, hotel cost for three nights and a full conference registration for the IBC Amsterdam convention) and up to twenty bursaries for ANGA COM in Cologne.  The bursaries are worth around £2000.

SCTE Achievement Awards

SCTE® regularly runs a series of industry achievement awards for the broadband industry. These celebrate individual and company success in the broadband arena. Most of the awards are given out at every SCTE® annual dinner.

- Individual Awards

These awards honours exceptional achievements in the broadband industry.  Categories include SCTE® Engineer of the Year, the Rising Star of the Year, the Richard Harris Member of the Year, the David Hall award for Best Presentation and the Tom Hall Award for Outstanding Services to Broadband Engineering. The SCTE® also gives out up to two Fellowships at the awards ceremony held at our Annual Awards Gala Dinner.  Our next batch of awards will be awarded at our next event being held in 2027.  Watch this space for further information.

- Technological Innovation Awards

These awards honours innovative products, systems and concepts in the broadband industry. The awards are for technological innovation in the broadband arena and may be for a product, system or concept.  (Please note: The item nominated must have been introduced into the marketplace between 1 January and 31 December the previous year). Our next batch of awards will be awarded at our next event being held in 2027.  Watch this space for further information.

Awards will be given for two different categories - SCTE Technological Innovation of the Year and SCTE Sustainability Award.
