George Dyckes

George first studied Engineering as well as enrolling on the Cisco Networking Academy whilst at college; he started his career in the cable industry with a well-known distributor of network infrastructure solutions. From there he went on to work in manufacturing before returning to work in telecom sales at Webro Cable & Logistics.

George was first introduced to the SCTE whilst attending one of the regular seasonal seminars and networking events. It is here where George first saw that the SCTE stands for and wanted to join the Society to help improve the general standards and opportunities for those involved in the telecommunications industry. Whether you’re a user, installer or owner of a network, George is passionate about ensuring that standards are upheld, and that access and opportunities are available and equal to all, no matter what your circumstances are.

George was Co-opted on to the executive committee in 2022 and is now Vice Chair of the Marketing & Publications sub-committee. George is looking to highlight the excellent work that the SCTE are undertaking whilst promoting our seminars and to share the insightful content that our contributors and partners are providing.

Based in the South East of England, you will usually find George at industry events and trade shows as a representative of both the SCTE and Webro.

George will be eligible to stand as an elected member in 2025.
