21923 - SCTE Broadband Aug2023 COMPLETE v1 (1)

9 Vol. 45 No. 3 - September 2023 Issue It’s early days but we are encouraged by the take up of our Human Skills Courses, which launched in June at ANGA COM. Featuring bespoke courses designed by our training partner Borderless Performance, these have been championed by our Training Committee Chair James Harwood, who feels that soft skills are in our industry are often overlooked in fabour of more traditional, hands-on courses, and he is determined to change that. “Throughout my career I have had to rely on the skills I have learned in the background – how to network, how to handle an interview, how to get noticed at work, how to get promoted, how to handle problems in the workplace. It struck me that the SCTE would do well to address these areas that everyone at any age in any job faces and we all stand to benefit.” The best thing about these courses is that SCTE members receive this training free of charge. The below courses will be running concurrently from September and you can enrol here: https://www.thescte.eu/training n The First 90 Days in a New Job n Dealing with Uncertainty and Handling Change n Dealing Positively with Workplace Conflict n How to Get Ahead – Building Relationships at Work n The Gender Agenda – How to be a More Effective Male Ally First Human Skills Courses Now Underway scte news We are also delighted to welcome the following new Individual SCTE members n Bardhyl Sadiku MAM-Bau GmbH & Co.KG n Fatos Krasniqi FOTEK n Adnan Jashari IPKO n Besim Isufi IPKO n Fatos Sejdiu IPKO n Peter Edginton Webro Cables & Connectors n Charles Au HKCLR n Enes Osmani WEMACOM
