46 Vol. 44 No. 3 - September 2022 Issue Cable Hall of Fame is back! Cable Hall of Fame is back! As an organiser of a significant event, Covid must have been very challenging for you. How have you found it over the last two years? We have an outstanding 2022 Cable Hall of Fame class and are thrilled to be back live and in-person this September 15 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in NYC. The last two years have been challenging for all of us and I look forward to seeing industry friends and reconnecting. Everyone had to make pivots with their plans, ourselves included. I do want to acknowledge our industry and the dedication and agility by all to keep our communities connected. I have immense gratitude for the connectivity industry, without whom we would not have been able to carry on. They’re a good bunch. Crisis does bring people together doesn’t it? Really, it was a combined effort on the part of operators, vendors, and content providers to keep the world plugged in, informed, and moving forward while we all hunkered down and worked from home. Accordingly, we inducted the industry frontline associates into the Cable Hall of Fame in 2021. That’s a lovely touch. I am sure it was very warmly appreciated. This was The Cable Center’s way to honor the dedication, innovation, and hard work of these outstanding people. We showcased their contributions in a virtual ceremony and with an industry honoree video available on our website, cablecenter.org. It’s just one reason I feel deep pride for this wonderful, global community. Tell us about the event on September 15. What will it look like? The Cable Hall of Fame tells the modern stories of the most influential trailblazers in the connectivity industry. It’s a dynamic celebration of industry achievements that are the foundation for today’s technology and tomorrow’s evolution. Our “red carpet” event will be a night for rejoicing and reconnecting. The honorees represent the “best of the best” of our industry. Each one of these inspiring trailblazers has shaped the cable and video entertainment industry through their leadership and pioneering ideas.
