SCTE announces webinar with DCT DELTA
The SCTE, Society for Broadband Professionals has announced a new webinar with Corporate Member and leading German telecommunications equipment supplier, DCT Delta AG, on Tuesday, May 3 at 1pm.
As part of the successful and ongoing webinar series run by the SCTE, the next event entitled “The Remote-PHY Habitat” will be presented by Dr Gerold Jäger-Waldau, Chief Technology Officer at DCT Delta AG.
Remote-PHY is on its way to establish a major step in transforming Cable-TV networks into state-of-the-art IP-networks in co-existence with XGS-PON and 5G networks.
Cable operators all over the world are in different stages of implementation, but beyond the specialized R-PHY working teams, there is still a lot of uncertainty about installations and getting it in operation in the field due to known complexity of CCAP configurations, existing infrastructure and installers, that are mainly HFC trained persons.
This webinar shows how the RPD from DCT Delta provides an easy installation and operation, blends into the existing fibre /coax environment and how it fits into the new IP-access sphere.
Dr Gerold Jäger-Waldau said, “At DCT Delta we pride ourselves being innovators and supporters of training and education in this space, and have long supported the SCTE. We feel that their programme of webinars has been an excellent resource for the industry to learn and network and are excited to be able to bring our work with Remote-PHY to SCTE Members worldwide on May 3.”
Anthony Basham, SCTE President, commented, “Webinars are just one of the steps that the SCTE is taking in 2022 to help and support its members and the wider industry, as well as fulfil our mission to educate and support the sector. We welcome DCT Delta and some lively debate on Remote-PHY and encourage as many SCTE members and all interested parties to register.”
