SCTE launches new webinar series
The SCTE, Society for Broadband Professionals has launched a new series of technology webinars aimed at professionals in the broadband industry. Starting in February 2021, the series will be streamed via the Zoom platform and covers a range of broadband topics including 5G, EPON/GPON, Internet of Things, DOCSIS, Wi-Fi, testing and fibre.
The series will be promoted via partnerships with key SCTE partner organisations, targeting an important customer base of key decision-makers and technology professionals. With marketing promotion on social media, newsletters, e-blasts and in print, before and after each webinar to its members and via its partners, SCTE also offers editorial support in the form of handpicked moderators known for their expertise in each chosen field.
Companies are encouraged to select the technology areas of interest and contact the SCTE to discuss participation. Discounts are available for SCTE members. While the topics cover much of the debate in the sector currently, the SCTE is keen to work with its members, partners and customers to create bespoke webinars and is open to suggestions on new areas which may not have been covered.
“The intention is to create a series of thought-provoking, original debates to drive traffic to your website, raise awareness of the issues, disseminate knowledge and present solutions,” explained Melissa Cogavin, Managing Editor, SCTE. “Our members are highly trained professionals, so we feel that monthly webinars covering fast-moving technology and connecting the industry – especially now, when meeting in person is difficult – meets that need.
“Webinars are just one of the steps that the SCTE is taking in 2021 to help support its members and the wider industry, as well as fulfil our mission to maintain standards and support the sector. We encourage companies in the broadband sector to contact us with their thoughts and suggestions on these and future webinars.”
