The SCTE ®  (Society for Broadband Professionals) welcomes the recent appointment of Melissa Cogavin as its managing editor.

Melissa succeeds Sara Waddington who, after twelve years, left the SCTE ® at the end of the year to pursue new challenges.

“I am delighted to be joining the team at the SCTE ® as managing editor. The role brings the dual rewards of editing and writing within the framework of a membership organisation, which I love. With 5G around the corner, it is also an exciting time to be entering the broadband industry so it’s a privilege to be part of a Learned Society with such a long history and impressive reputation,” commented Melissa Cogavin.

SCTE ® CEO, Dr. Roger Blakeway, added: “It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Sara over the last twelve years and we all wish her well in her new ventures. Melissa comes to us with impeccable qualifications and we are looking forward to the new insights and contributions that she will bring to the Society as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary Year.”
