Free fibre training from the SCTE
For its 75th anniversary year, the SCTE has made a free special edition of the SCTE Fibre Optic Transmission for Technicians Course available on the www.broadbandtraining.eu website for all members. Please request a log-in at www.broadbandtraining.eu/lms
“If you are self-isolating or working from home, and wish to refresh or update your knowledge, this course is ideal. This training course was due to be a member gift for our 75th anniversary this year, and we hope that it will both upskill and entertain you while COVID-19 imposes itself on our daily life,” commented Anthony Basham, SCTE President.
The SCTE has moved its training and educational tools into different areas such as training books, courses, PDF files and, now, into a Learning Management System (LMS). This online learning solution facilitates and improves upon traditional educational methods.
It recently partnered with the IET to offer its ‘Introduction to 5G Network Engineering’ on our LMS – see http://www.broadbandtraining.eu/index.php/training-2/lms-only/scte-iet-introduction-to-5g It has also partnered with CAI to offer a range of satellite training courses on http://www.broadbandtraining.eu/index.php/training/training-6
If you wish to identify any training gaps in your organisation, the SCTE can offer a free analysis of your training needs – see http://www.broadbandtraining.eu/index.php/training-3/analysis-of-training-needs
SCTE training courses have gained wide acceptance as the standard for young technicians wishing to enter the field of cable telecommunications and for those wishing to advance their knowledge and career prospects. Students completing the courses successfully become accredited SCTE Technicians and are issued with SCTE Certificates. For the full range of SCTE courses (classroom or self-study), see http://www.broadbandtraining.eu/index.php/training and http://www.broadbandtraining.eu/index.php/training-2
