SCTE Benelux Lecture at IBC focuses on Virtual Reality
The SCTETM Benelux Lecture, at this year’s IBC exhibition at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam, will be held on Monday 17 September 2018 in the new venue of the Topaz Lounge at the RAI. The focus will be on Virtual Reality.
Following a complimentary light lunch buffet for all attendees at 1.00pm, sponsored by ARRIS, the lecture presentations will commence. At the end of the afternoon session, there will be a drinks reception at 5.00pm.
The following presentations will be given:-
- “Advances in Volumetric Video and Interactive VR” by Dr Oliver Schreer, Head of Immersive Media & Communication Group, Vision & Imaging Technologies Department, Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute.
- “Improving the Economics of Immersive Technologies in a Cloud-Based, Dockerised Application Lifecycle Laboratory” by Gabor Molnar, PhD, Evangelist, Video Technology & Science, Divitel BV.
- “How Does Virtual Reality Impact Service Provider’s Networks, and How Does This Change Service Assurance and Plant Maintenance” by David Hering, Senior Product Line Manager for HFC Assurance Solution, VIAVI Solutions.
- “Live VR: From Venue to Viewer – Streaming the Best Seat in the House Needs Bandwidth” by Charles Cheevers, CTO CPE Solutions, ARRIS.
