SCTE Confirms 2016 Technology Innovation Award Winners

The SCTETM (Society for Broadband Professionals) confirmed the winners and runners-up of its prestigious 2016 Technological Innovation awards at its Gala Annual Awards Dinner on 9 April 2016 at Lincoln’s Inn in London (UK). The competition honours innovative products, systems and concepts in the broadband industry. 

“Best Broadband Network Transmission Solution”

Winner:         Gainspeed, Virtualised & Distributed CCAP.

Runner-up:   Corning Optical Communications, MiniXtend® Cable with Binderless

                      FastAccess™ Technology.

“Best Digital Processing Solution”

Winner:         Harmonic Inc., Electra X Advanced Media Processor.

Runner-up:   Technetix, 1.2GHz Narrowcast Insertion Solution.

“Best CPE Solution”

Winner:         Teleste, Double Galvanic Isolated Multimedia Coaxial Cable Extender.

Runner-up:   ARRIS, Touchstone TG2492 Gateway Series.

The winner of the best overall submission and SCTE 2016 Technological Innovation of the Year Award was Teleste for its Double Galvanic Isolated Multimedia Coaxial Cable Extender. Last year’s winner was Corning Optical Communications for its SMF-28® Ultra Fibre.
