Test Your Skills at the SCTE Summer Lecture

The SCTE’s Summer Lecture, on 10 July 2019 at Ashdown Park hotel and country club (East Grinstead, UK) will combine morning presentations with lunch and an exciting afternoon of quad biking, blindfold driving and minefield.

The event covers topics ranging from the evolution of TV to 5G and 10G and will also unveil the SCTE’ latest new training initiatives, including a new online Learning Management System. The presentations are listed below:

  • “The Evolution of TV Distribution” by Justin Gupta, IT Operations and Business Development, Broadcast (Google).
  • “Forward into the Future” by Matthias Kurth, Executive Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee (Cable Europe trade association).
  • “An Overview of New SCTE Training Initiatives” by Anthony Basham, Chair of Training Committee (SCTE).

The group will be split into three during the afternoon session in the Activity Field and rotated through various fun activities. The activities will include a quad biking obstacle course, a blindfold driving challenge and the minefield game, which requires real team-work for success.

Places are complimentary for all SCTE members, although if they wish to take part in the afternoon activities then the SCTE applies a nominal charge of £30 per head.
