SCTE Confirms 2015 Technology Innovation Award Winners

The SCTETM (Society for Broadband Professionals) confirmed the winners and runners-up of its prestigious 2015 Technological Innovation awards at its Summer Lecture and Activity Day on 8 July at RallyDays in Bicester (UK). The competition honours innovative products, systems and concepts in the broadband industry.

“Best Broadband Network Transmission Solution”

Winner:          Corning Optical Communications, SMF-28® Ultra Fibre

Runner-up:    Harmonic Inc.,NSG Exo

“Best Digital Processing Solution”

Winner:          Deluxe OnDemand, 4K UHD VOD Management

Runner-up:    ARRIS Group, ARRIS ME-7000 Converged Video Compression Platform

“Best CPE Solution”

Winner:          Teleste, Sub-miniature Euro style Integrated Double Galvanic Isolator

Runner-up:    Teleste, Home Distribution Amplifier (HDU)

The winner of the best overall submission and SCTE 2015 Technological Innovation of the Year Award was Corning Optical Communications for its SMF-28® Ultra Fibre. Last year’s winner was Bridge Technologies for its VB288 CONTENT EXTRACTOR.
