6 Vol. 44 No. 3 - September 2022 Issue We have not been able to issue bursaries to our members over the last two years for obvious reasons, so it was a pleasure to be able to grant bursaries to our very good friends and Corporate Members IPKO, who sent five representatives to ANGA COM, some of them for the first time. We met with Dhurata Prapashtica, Pleurat Berisha, Arton Krasniqi and Elmedina Gutaj who all received bursaries from the SCTE. We also talked to Adelina Neziri, a network engineer from Kosovo, who detailed her experiences and what she got out of attending ANGA COM this year. Our bursaries include three nights’ accommodation and return flights within Europe. We are hoping to get back to our normal level of bursaries in 2023. scte news SCTE ® Bursaries Update I would like to start by thanking the SCTE for the bursary to attend ANGA COM 2022. For me and my engineer colleagues, it was the great opportunity to be part of a magnificent event, valuable conferences and great exhibition. After pandemic period the show was much bigger than I expected. During those days we had opportunity to learn a lot, to meet different vendors and be part of an important telecom event. I have more than ten years working as Network Planning Engineer at IPKO Telecommunications. Attending ANGA COM 2022 gave me the opportunity to see what other network operators were doing to upgrade they network, how are they planning to migrate technology from HFC network to GPON / FTTh / FTTx technology. All of these facts are very valuable for me, for my everyday job and for my future career. Being part of conference, was great opportunity to listen and learn from top speaker’s new trends in Telecommunication Industry. Also visiting stands through two halls of exhibitions, gave us opportunity to see new products, new applications and the best of all was visiting manufacturing factories through 3D VR and in another stand trying a new splicing machine and doing a successful fibre optic/drop cable splice. ANGA COM 2022 was the best broadband event, having everyone in the same place at the same time. The best of all was the warmwelcome from the staff of SCTE in general, and especially from Bev and Amanda. You were extremely friendly and very helpful. Thank you SCTE for your warm welcome, for your hospitality services and for making this trip possible.
