60 Vol. 43 No. 4 - November 2021 Issue ANGA By ANGA, The Broadband Association Brilliant Comeback of the Broadband Show ANGA COM in 2022 The strength of ANGA COM show has always been to bring together network operators, investors and vendors in a diverse and international way, but without too large crowds. With the great success of the vaccinations, everything speaks for a brilliant comeback of the broadband show ANGA COM in 2022. Even after the pandemic – or precisely because of last year’s experience – the expansion of broadband networks is at the top of the agenda everywhere in Europe. In Germany, for example, with its more than 40 million households, network operators and a steadily growing number of international investors have announced an investment of many billions. New sales records can therefore be expected for vendors of broadband and media technology all over Europe. The industry is facing a new spirit of optimism, which we should use jointly and decisively. The strength of ANGA COM show has always been to bring together network operators, investors and vendors in a diverse and international way, but without too large crowds. And this equally for fiber, cable, 5G, satellite and also the increasingly important IP-based media technologies such as streaming and OTT. One-on-one appointments and mass events may also decline in the longer term. However, an international and sharply profiled trade show will remain the most efficient way for vendors and clients to fulfill the need to meet new and existing customers in person. This is especially true for international contacts. With 10 - 12 May 2022 , ANGA COM has announced a date that allows sufficient lead time. Also, inspiring early summer weather can be expected. International air traffic to Cologne and Düsseldorf has already recovered amazingly quickly in recent weeks. Furthermore, legal and company travel restrictions should be lifted by spring of next year at the latest. With that, all signs will point to a successful restart of ANGA COM and the personal reunion of the industry.
