Description
Hatfield House, built in 1611, is a celebrated Jacobean house standing in its own Great Park – it has been in the Cecil family ever since 1611 and is currently the home of Lord and Lady Salisbury. The Old Palace, which was built in 1497, was once owned by Henry VIII, father of Elizabeth I, who used it as a home for his children.
